Controversial crossdresser Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, has appealed to singer Burna Boy to secure the release of his colleague, Speed Darlington.

Recall that Speed Darlington was arrested after suggesting that Burna Boy had an illicit relationship with embattled American music executive Diddy in a bid to win a Grammy.

Darlington’s continued detention, despite a court order for his release, has elicited mixed reactions both online and offline.

Joining the call for the rapper’s release, socialite Bobrisky appealed to Burna Boy to intervene, stressing that 45 days in detention was enough punishment.

On his Instagram Story, Bobrisky wrote:

“I just wanna mind my business this year and stay away from anything that connects with Nigerian celebrities. But my soft heart won’t stop me from thinking of many things.

“Pls Burna Boy, forgive Speed [Darlington]. Pls, prison is not a nice place. I don’t think he has money for a VIP section cos it’s expensive.”

Nigerian singer, Blackface, has said the notion that he accuses his colleagues of stealing his intellectual property for fun was flawed, stressing that none of those he has accused has denied committing the crime.

He said most of his colleagues are jacking his songs because they love his vibe.

However, he mentioned that they were doing it wrong by not crediting him.

Speaking in a recent interview with TVC, Blackface said, “People jack my vibes. They love them. It’s not their fault. If I was not me, I would be jacking me too.

“All my songs are being jacked because when you release a song it becomes a published work. The songs are all registered. There’s no song that’s released that’s not registered. Once it is in the public domain, it’s a published work. Was it published before your work?

“It’s not about whether I’ve viable proofs or not. The truth is that the action is wrong. So many Nigerian artists have jacked my songs. And these people that I’ve complained about, they have never for once denied it. So you people would have seen that and say there’s an iota of truth in what Blackface is saying.”

A Kenyan woman identified as Hellen Mutimu, who claims to have a two-year-old son with popular businessman, Okechukwu Pascal, aka Cubana Chief Priest, has expressed heartfelt gratitude to Nigerian singer, Burna Boy for stepping in where she alleges the businessman has failed.

In the video shared on her Instagram page on January 12, Hellen, visibly emotional, praised the Afrobeat star for his timely intervention.

In her word, “Thank you so much, Burna Boy, for fulfilling what you promised me and my son. I am overwhelmed. I have provided the necessary documents,”.

Nigerian singer Akinmayokun Awodunmila, popularly known as May D, recently opened up about a big regret during an interview on the popular podcast The Honest Bunch.

May D shared how, before the famous remix of “Chop My Money” with Akon, Akon had laid out a condition for the collaboration: they’d have to fly him to America.

Things worked out, and after the remix became a hit, Akon apparently saw great potential in him.

In his words, “Akon called me and told me he had many deals for me. Since you don’t have any deals with psquare, call me, I will book you a flight back to America. When I got to Nigeria, as a clean guy I told psquare and I explained all Akon told me when I got to America. If I had known, I wouldn’t have said that”.
