Veteran Nollywood actor Olu Jacobs celebrated his 82nd birthday on July 11, 2024, just weeks after rumors of his death spread on social media
The actor is still battling dementia, a health issue that has kept him away from the public eye since his wife, Joke Silva, revealed his condition a few years ago.
Joke Silva celebrated her husband’s birthday by posting a video with pictures of the couple’s youth on her Instagram account.
In the caption, she prayed that her husband would live long and in good health.
The couple met in the 90’s while Olu Jacobs was directing the premiere of Wole Soyinka’s Jero’s Metamorphosis for Nigeria’s 21st anniversary.
They married in 1989 and have three children together.
