He described the attack as not only an assault on the Christian community but also a direct challenge to the peace and unity that the state values.

In a statement by his Special Adviser on Print Media, Aisha Wakaso, Governor Bago expressed his complete condemnation of the act and assured the residents of Niger State, especially the Christian community, that their safety, security, and freedom of religion are top priorities for the government.

He emphasized the importance of unity and collaboration in preserving the peace in the state.

Governor Bago urged citizens to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the authorities to prevent further acts of violence and maintain the tranquility that everyone seeks.

He extended his support to the members of the Redeemed Christian Church of God and the wider Christian community during this difficult time.

The church was set on fire by unknown perpetrators following a break-in and theft of valuable items, including musical instruments.
