Nigeria Immigration Invites Woman Who Tore Her Husband’s International Passport For Questioning

The Nigeria Immigration Service has summoned the woman from a now-infamous video who viciously tore her husband’s international passport at Murtala Mohammed International Airport (MMIA) in Lagos on Saturday, setting off a social media frenzy.

Ekwutosblog reports that the woman freely admitted on camera to shredding her husband’s passport upon their arrival at the airport.

In a statement released late Sunday night, the Service identified the woman as Mrs. Favour Igiebor and emphasized the gravity of her actions.

The statement which was signed by the Service Public Relations Officer, DCI KT Udo, stressed that if the allegations are substantiated, her actions would constitute a breach of Section 10(b) of the Immigration Act 2015 (as amended), with corresponding penalties outlined under Section 10(h) of the same Act.

The statement reads;

The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has launched a formal investigation following the circulation of a video on social media, showing a female traveler destroying a Nigerian Standard Passport at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos.

The individual involved has been identified as Mrs. Favour Igiebor, holding passport number A11990869.

In response to this incident, the Comptroller General of Immigration, KN Nandap, pcc, mmis, fsm, has directed that Mrs. Favour Igiebor be invited for further investigation.

If the allegations are substantiated, her actions would constitute a breach of Section 10(b) of the Immigration Act 2015 (as amended), with corresponding penalties outlined under Section 10(h) of the same Act.

The Nigeria Immigration Service remains steadfast in its commitment to upholding the provisions of the Immigration Act in the interest of national security, and to preserving the dignity and integrity of the nation’s legal instruments.

The Nigeria Police Force has made a significant breakthrough in its efforts to curb electoral violence in Edo State with the arrest of two political thugs, namely: Edwin Obanor, 43-year-old and Audu Tajudeen, a 41-year-old PDP member from Ugbogbo quarters, Igara Akoko, Edo.


Acting on a tip-off that some individuals had been armed to cause mayhem and distability during the election on Saturday, the police operatives swooped into action and apprehended Obanor, a leader of an armed group, at Oredo Ward 4 at about 9pm and Audu Tajudeen at Igara Akoko, Edo, on the eve of the election. Upon searching the bags in their possession, three cut-to-size locally fabricated pistols were discovered on Obanor, while one locally made gun was recovered from Tajudeen.

These arrests are a testament to the Nigeria Police Force’s commitment to maintaining law and order and ensuring a peaceful electoral process. The police and other supporting security agencies will not tolerate any form of violence or disorderliness during the election in Edo State.

The suspects are currently in custody and will face the full weight of the law. The Police reassures the public of its dedication to protecting lives and property and, therefore, urges citizens to report any suspicious activities to the nearest police station or via our published help lines.

Police Arrest Man Who Killed Friend After Obtaining Money From Him Under False Pretense.

Police operatives in Yobe State have arrested a 24-year-old businessman, identified as Yunus Isa, in connection with the d£@th of his friend and business partner, Lawan Adamu.

It was gathered that the suspect allegedly caused the d£@th of the deceased in an attempt to avoid repaying a N500,000 loan he had borrowed from him.

SaharaReporters reports that the deceased and Isa were traders, selling engine oil and other lubricants in Damaturu, the Yobe State capital.
He reportedly took the N500,000 credit facility on false pretence of starting a new outlet with an agreed profit sharing formula. But he later used the capital to marry a wife.
After repeated failure to remit the agreed percentage of the sharing formula, Lawan demanded a refund of his capital, consequent upon which Isa lured his victim to a solitary area of Shago Tara, and st@bbed him multiple times.

He committed the act on Sunday, September 15 and was arrested the following day, September 16.

Lady Arrested For Sending Lover’s Nude Picture To His Wife

A Lagos-based businesswoman, Cynthia, has been dragged before a Chief Magistrate Court sitting in Ojo, for allegedly sending the nude picture of her lover, Mr Reuben, to his wife.

The accused was said to have sent the complaints nude picture and video to his wife after an attempt to blackmail him into paying her N2 million failed

The police told the court that trouble started between the lovers after the accused told the complaint that she was pregnant.

The prosecutor, ASP Simeon Uche, told the court that the accused became angry after she discovered that the complaint had blocked her line, and that attempt to reach him on phone to discuss her pregnancy failed.

“My Lord, all this while the complaint never knew that his lover, who happens to be the accused, had nude videos of him. She took the video during one of their outings.

“At that point, he blocked her from reaching him on phone. She later sent him threat messages, demanding for N2 million.
