In response to the present economic crisis and food shortage, Ibrahim Abdullahi, the People’s Democratic Party’s (PDP) Deputy National Publicity Secretary, said in an interview with Daily Trust that the nation’s decent people have realised that Dr Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, Nigeria’s former president, was competent and trustworthy.

According to report, the Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Ibrahim Abdullahi said “With the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) struggling to address the country’s issues, Goodluck Jonathan’s return would be a welcome development.

The party would not hesitate to support him because he is one of us, and we believe he can get the job done.

Nigerians have come to realize that Dr. Goodluck Jonathan is the leader the country can depend on. During his six-plus years in office, he maintained single-digit inflation, stabilized the Naira, and regulated the economy, resisting the urge to float the currency

In contrast to the economic policies of Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan’s administration, Chief Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration has removed subsidies, which, according to Ibrahim Abdullahi, has caused inflation to skyrocket. Additionally, he said that not even the administration of Muhammadu Buhari, Nigeria’s former president, was able to address the country’s security concerns, particularly the Boko Haram insurgency in the country’s northeast.
