Gospel Singer Dare Melody Honors Late Wife at Emotional Wake

Renowned gospel singer Dare Melody delivered a poignant tribute to his beloved wife, Adedoyin Odunuga, during her wake-keeping ceremony. Adedoyin passed away on October 24, 2024.

Dare Melody, visibly emotional, reflected on their life together, celebrating Adedoyin’s unwavering integrity and lasting legacy. He described her as a paragon of truthfulness and honesty, whose values resonated deeply with his own.

“I try so hard for my today not to spoil my tomorrow. I used to tell my late wife, whatever you hear about me, we are musicians and we are human. Accept me as I am. My wife, Adedoyin, was a very truthful and honest person, and I am also very truthful. I don’t know how to lie. I used to mend people’s homes but when the storm came, I couldn’t fix my own home,” he shared in Yoruba language.

The heartfelt eulogy moved those in attendance, including fellow musicians and fans, who have rallied around Dare during this difficult time, offering support and condolences.
