JIGAWA STATE COLLABORATES WITH FOREIGN NGO TO DELIVER PROSTHETIC LIMBS TO DISABLED CITIZENS
The Jigawa State Government, in collaboration with the IshK Tolaram Foundation, has taken a significant step towards supporting the disabled community in the state by providing custom-made prosthetic limbs to selected beneficiaries. This philanthropic gesture is aimed at enhancing mobility and productivity of the affected citizens.
The IshK Tolaram Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of marginalized individuals in Nigeria, Singapore, and Indonesia, delivered the prosthetic limbs through its “Ishk Limb Centre” program.
Speaking during a brief demonstration on the application of the limbs at the government house, Dutse, the foundation’s representative, Mr. Sidlan Jaiprakash, highlighted the organization’s mission of empowering disadvantaged individuals.
“Our founder, Mr. Mohan Vaswani, envisioned a world where everyone has the opportunity to improve the quality of their life. Through our Claim Center program, we provide custom-made prosthetic limbs to those in need, enabling them to resume their lives and become more productive members of society,” the representative said.
He further expressed gratitude to the Jigawa State Government for its partnership, stating, “We are deeply thankful for this collaboration, which allows us to touch the lives of amputees and individuals born with deformities. We are committed to working hand-in-hand with the government to empower the vulnerable and give them a chance to live better, more fulfilling lives.”
In response, Governor Malam Umar Namadi expressed profound gratitude to the IshK Tolaram Foundation for its generosity and commitment to humanitarian causes. He noted the importance of the program, emphasizing its impact on the lives of those who otherwise may not have access to such life-changing interventions.
“On behalf of the people of Jigawa State, I want to sincerely thank you for partnering with us to assist those in need. This initiative touches the lives of people who would not ordinarily afford such prosthetic limbs. Together, we have made a difference, and I hope this marks the beginning of a fruitful and long-lasting partnership.”
The governor reiterated the state government’s commitment to collaborating with organizations like IshK Tolaram Foundation in achieving its objective of improving the well-being of Jigawa’s people.
“Our goal as a government is to help our people live better lives. We are ready to work with you and any other partners to make that a reality,” he said.
