Breath Of Life Biggest Winner, Tribe Of Judah Loses Out

 

Big Brother Naija reality star, Beauty Tukura, has relished her triumph at the 10th edition of Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards, AMVCA, held at the Eko Hotel and Suites in Lagos, yesterday.

The former Miss Nigeria, who snagged the Best Dressed Female Award for the second consecutive year, boasted that she would keep winning the category “until further notice.”

Sharing a picture of herself with her award via Instagram, Beauty wrote, “Still Best Dressed 2023/2024… until further notice #AMVCA10.”

Another Big Brother Naija reality star, Venita Akpofure, won the Best Dressed Female award for the second year in a row at the 10th AMVCA Cultural Day and Opening Night celebration on Friday.

Meanwhile, report has it that ‘Breath of Life’ was the biggest winner at the 10th AMVCA, scooping six awards, including Best Movie, Best Director (BB Sasore), Best Lead Actor (Wale Ojo), Best Supporting Actor (Ademola Adedoyin), Best Supporting Actress (Genoveva Umeh), and Trailblazer (Chimezie Imo).

Surprisingly, Funke Akindele’s record-breaking film, ‘A Tribe Called Judah’ was snubbed.

‘A Tribe Called Judah’ lost all five nominations despite becoming the first Nigerian movie to gross over N1 billion in cinemas last December.

Nigerian music sensation Oniyide Azeez, popularly known as Zinoleesky, has announced the arrival of his second child. The 25-year-old singer shared the joyful news on his Instagram page on April 3, posting adorable photos of himself cradling the newborn.

Zinoleesky, who rose to fame in 2017, expressed his delight with a heartfelt caption: “Owo Baba Zafar….” This new bundle of joy joins his first child, Zendaya, born in 2023.

Genevieve Nnaji Claps Back at Trolls with Witty Retorts

Nollywood actress and filmmaker Genevieve Nnaji has fired back at online bullies who attempted to mock her age on social media. A troll on Twitter taunted her, saying, “You can’t defy the laws of nature” and sneered that her “youthful allure is finally waning.”

Nnaji responded to a troll with sarcasm, “It gets even worse; I’ll become so old that I’ll meet my maker. If I’m fortunate.” She acknowledged aging’s inevitability with humor, keeping the tone playful.

Another troll interjected, “Mummy, you’ve really aged,” to which Nnaji retorted, “Daddy, I wouldn’t wish that on you,” skillfully deflecting the jab.
