Police operatives in Bayelsa State have arrested one 24year old Godgift Bai, alleged to be circulating a viral private video of a young girl on social media platforms.

The State Police Spokesperson, ASP Musa Mohammed, in a statement today Friday 6th of September, said the suspect was arrested in Yenagoa on Sept. 3rd, 2024.

The arrest of Godgift Bai who hails from Ogbolomabiri in Nembe Local Government Area, follows a thorough investigation by the Cyber Crime Unit, acting on the directive of the Commissioner of Police, CP. Alonyenu Francis Idu.

According to Amaka, she was not charged with any crime. Instead, she was invited by the police following a report from the Nigerian government. After reviewing the evidence, the police concluded that she had no further questions to answer and allowed her to leave.
