There is no law in Nigeria directing hospitals to attend to emergency patient before payment especially in situations where they will need to buy one or two items needed to treat the patient.

Private hospital is most likely a one man business
If they continue to attend to patients without pay, eventually they will run out of business and the hospital will close down.

Initially, G0vt has a role to play here by providing health care insurance for us and in situations like this.

The hospital will go ahead and attend to the patients then G0vt pays for it if the patients doesn’t have the financial capacity to handle it or they will subsidise the payment to make it easy for the patients and their family to meet up.

We know we have a bad G0vt already

But we the citizens too
We are not trying at all

Lagos state have health care insurance scheme which is less than 40k, but let us ask people staying in Lagos
I can bet you, over 70% are not even aware that the state now have health care insurance talkless of registering.

Apart from Lagos state.

We have insurance companies
But una no go gree register

Always praying and hoping that bad things will not happen, but you all forget that it is the good things and the bad things that makes life balanced.

Preparation for good and bad days is very important

We learn everyday

It’s not easy loosing your loved ones in situations like this.

Ignorance of the law is no excuse

Someone gave me 300k to keep for him since August last year,
Atanda, Yesterday i received a message from him on WhatsApp that i should pls send 70k to a particular acc0unt he provided and i did just as he instructed and shared him the receipt.

I met him today on my way going out.
He told me his ph0ne was stolen two days ago and he is on his way to MTN office to retrieve it, then i told him about the m0ney he told me to send to a particular acc0unt

Atanda, he said he never sent me any message on WhatsApp and was telling me that nothing concerns him o

He insist that his m0ney with me is still 300k and thr£atened to get me arr£sted when he needs the m0ney if I don’t send it to him completely

Atanda, i don’t know what to do here cos i don’t even know who is at fault again on this matter

Go to any cust0mary court with your wife showing pictorial evidence of your traditional marriage

You will get customary marriage certificate from the cust0mary court that is acceptable world wide and it doesn’t change the fact that you can still go ahead and marry more than one wife

No mind those people wey dey rush go ikoyi registry thinking na only that one dem go accept for embassy.

You will loose over 20% of your m0ney to the G0vt and the Lawyer that will pr0cess it.

Cos they will need to get Letter of administration before they can have access to your m0ney in the bank

So, why making them go through this stress just to have access to your m0ney

Pls do the right thing today
Take your wife to the bank and make her a signatory to your acc0unt

Or

If you have a child above 18, make one them a signatory to your acc0unt and make life easy for them in case you pass away suddenly as a man.

For your pr0perties too
Pls do well to add your wife’s name to it so they can take over it in case you pass away without having to go through any stress of obtaining letter of administration

We should make life easy for our wife and children to have access and take over what we have as a man when we pass away
