A recent viral video, shared by ThePressman Newspaper, captured an intriguing scene: prominent Nigerian politicians, including Mr. Peter Obi, of the Labour Party, LP, Mr. Atiku Abubakar, of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP,
Vice President Kashim Shittima, of All Progressives Congress, APC, and other notable figures, traveling together to attend the burial of the late Umaru Musa Yar’Adua’s mother.

The matriarch passed away at the impressive age of 102 years in Katsina State.

Despite their often fierce political rivalries, this moment highlighted a different side of these leaders.

The same individuals who clash on the political stage were seen interacting amicably, revealing a stark contrast to their public personas.

This display has sparked widespread criticism among netizens, who view it as a form of deception.

Many commentators argue that such scenes underscore a troubling truth: these leaders, who often seem at odds with each other, unite in their interests while presenting a façade of enmity to the public.

The episode has prompted many to reflect on the nature of political engagement, advising citizens to critically evaluate their support for leaders who only seem to show concern for the poor during election seasons.

The message is clear, while politicians may appear divided in their campaigns, their camaraderie outside of politics serves as a reminder of their shared interests and the often misleading nature of their public personas.
