Mohbad’s widow blames her father-in-law for autopsy test’s failure to reveal cause of singer’s d£ath
Singer Mohbad’s widow, Omowunmi, has blamed her father-in-law, Joseph Aloba, for being responsible for the failed autopsy test that could not ascertain the actual cause of the late singer’s death.
Recall that earlier in the week, Wahab Shittu (SAN), the lawyer representing Mohbad’s family said that a pathologist, Prof. Sunday Osiyemi, said that the actual cause of the late singer’s d£ath could not be ascertained because his body had d£composed before the autopsy was conducted.
Speaking with SaharaReporters, she said: “I have been sad. I have been heartbroken since yesterday when I got the news on what the pathologist said about the autopsy of my husband.
When my father-in-law wanted to take him away, I begged him, I pleaded, I cried. Everybody around that place with me cried. My mother-in-law cried but he pushed her away.
Zlatan Ibile, who is one of my husband’s industry brothers, pleaded but he said no. My husband’s lawyer pleaded but they said no. Bella Shmurda called on the phone and pleaded but my father-in-law said no. Everybody pleaded with my father-in-law but he refused.
He buried my husband hurriedly. He buried my husband that way. I didn’t even know when he was taking my husband to the morgue. I was inside. I didn’t know when he called the ambulance that took my husband to the morgue. I had to take an Uber to go after them to Ikotun General Hospital

“It took me getting married and giving birth to realise marriage benefits men more” — Woman shares emotional thoughts
A woman has stirred serious conversations online after opening up about how marriage and motherhood changed her perspective on life.
In a heartfelt reflection, she said it was only after getting married and giving birth that she began questioning who marriage truly benefits.
According to her, women often carry the heavier load — emotionally, physically, and mentally.
She explained that marriage can make women feel like tools, responsible for cooking, cleaning, caring for the home, and even contributing financially, while still bearing the full weight of pregnancy, childbirth, and childcare.
She questioned why something described as a “blessing” should come with so much pain, stress, sleepless nights, and emotional strain for women.
In her words, childbirth comes with intense pain, followed by years of responsibility that largely fall on the woman, while many men continue life almost unchanged.
She admitted she never strongly pushed for marriage herself and only went along with it after family pressure. It was the lived experience — not theory — that opened her eyes.
While she made it clear that she loves her son deeply and finds joy in him, she said motherhood also forced her to confront uncomfortable truths about expectations placed on women.
