The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) has suspended two pastors following allegations of homos£xuality that spread across social media.

The church announced the suspension in a memo dated October 28, 2024, and signed by Sunday Akande, its national overseer.

The letter, addressed to the special assistant to the general overseer of administration, ordered a thorough investigation into the allegations against the pastors.

The memo further stated that the church’s doctrine does not allow or tolerate any act of homosexuality, citing biblical references.

Akande disclosed that the accused persons have been temporarily relieved of their responsibilities within the RCCG.

He added that an investigation would be conducted within two weeks.

The memo reads: “This memo serves to inform you of serious allegations of homosexuality against…

“In accordance with our mission’s commitment to upholding the teachings of the Bible, we must address these allegations with the utmost seriousness it deserves.

“As you are aware, the doctrine of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) does not allow or tolerate any act of homosexuality. This stance is firmly rooted in biblical teachings, including but not limited to: Leviticus 18:22: ‘You shall not lie with a male as with a woman; it is an bomination.’

“1 Corinthians 6:9-10: Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality.
“In light of these allegations, you are now directed to conduct a thorough investigation.

Furthermore… and all others who are alleged are to be temporarily relieved from all of their responsibilities in all mission organs pending the outcome of this investigation, which is expected to be concluded within two weeks.

“It is crucial that we handle this situation with care and integrity, and in accordance with our values as a church. Please ensure that the investigation is conducted confidentially and with respect for all parties involved.

“Thank you for your cooperation.”

Renowned Nigerian filmmaker and founder of Mount Zion film production, Mike Bamiloye, has made a startling assertion about the marital lives of numerous pastors.

In a recent post on his social media page, Bamiloye shed light on the challenges faced by some pastors in their marriages. He noted that many of them are merely tolerating their marital relationships rather than experiencing genuine joy and fulfillment.

Bamiloye attributed this phenomenon to the behavior of some pastors’ wives, who allegedly exploit their husbands’ ministerial positions to exert control and manipulate them.

POPULAR NIGERIAN PREACHER PASTOR ABEL DAMINA SHARES WHAT HE DESCRIBED AS STRATEGIES USED BY CLERICS TO SCAM CHRISTIANS IN AFRICA.

HEAR HIM:

“HOW TO SCAM CHRISTIANS IN AFRICA”

1) Organize a programme (Give it a fancy name like, Pharaoh, Let My People Go, No More Suffering, Miracle Night or Divine Settlement, reclaiming your destiny, open heaven rally).

2) Make sure it’s around the end of the month when salaries will be paid.

3) Look for trending gospel artists.

4) Negotiate a price with the gospel music artist.

5) Invite good motivational speakers and smooth talkers, most of them are false prophets. He/she must fly in from another city or country. You must innocently sit down during the service, and feign ignorance.

6) Make billboards and posters (it’s for publicity and marketing).

7) Now, the D day. It must be emphasized how the invited guest(s) left other business behind to fly all the way here. All because of the anointing of giving.

Now let the musician sing and stir the emotions of all present – make sure the musicians are famous and loved by people. (If I make you sensational, it’s now easy to scam you).

9) Now, if you can give #10000, stand by my right, #5000 or less come up the altar, #1000, stay to my left.

10) Work have started. At this time most are no longer thinking straight. Some for class will even pledge to give next month.

11) If you can give land, car etc. I will pray for you specially after service in the Pastor’s office. (Tell them the office doesn’t open unless if its special cases and special instruction from above)

12) Get the artist to sing again “Your house Na double double…. ” (sustain it because some of them were still conscious).

13) Show them how the widow gave her last mite and the widow of Zarephath too. (They will agree, because it’s in the bible)

14) Now hear the chief scammer “I know I said I won’t go beyond this amount, but the Lord just said to me, the anointing is for everyone here, so come with what you have, remove your bus fare, empty every money you have on this: Dr. Emediong Samuel).

GOVERNMENT OF IMO STATE

PRESS RELEASE

Palm Sunday : Uzodimma: I have not breached my covenant with God concerning Imo

… Reiterates determination to put State on the path of prosperity

The Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodimma has reiterated his determination to continue working to recover Imo State from where he met it barely five years ago, and put it on the path of prosperity, insisting that he has not breached the covenant he has with God concerning Imo State.

He has also reiterated that when he is done working for the State in line with his pact with God, he will go home without the fear of anything hunting him for the service he sincerely rendered.

The Governor spoke while addressing the congregation at the end of a Pontifical High Mass to mark the celebration of the “Feast of Christ the King” at the Government House Chapel Owerri Imo State on Sunday.

He thanked the people for their support and solidarity following the Federal Government’s recent policies with their attendant consequences, and assured that that his government was doing a lot to put Imo State on the path of good life and prosperity for all.

He emphasised that he would not shy away from doing those things that will stand as legacy projects for which his administration will be remembered for by posterity.

Governor Uzodimma said he wants to be remembered that during his time Imo had daily and sustainable power supply, good roads, lasting infrastructure, and that he brought prosperity, quality education, health care and other good things to Imo State, and “not to be remembered for fighting with people over things that will not benefit Imo people.”

The Governor said he was thankful to God that in his conscience he has not violated or breached his covenant with God.

The covenant, he said, include “to create prosperity, recover the State, bring back dignity for which every Imo man was known for and will be known for.”

He recalled that only recently during the National Digital Skill-up programme at Abuja Imo State came first, noting that, “those are the things I want to be remembered and known for.”

He challenged anybody with evidence of what he has done wrong to bring it forward “because I will leave office a free man, sleep with my two eyes closed without being afraid of anybody, including the EFCC.”

Governor Uzodimma said his major concern has always been to leave positive marks in Imo and invited all to join him to recover the State and build it as a new Imo that will usher in prosperity and good life to Imo people.

Earlier in his homily, the Auxiliary Bishop of Orlu Catholic Diocese, Bishop Thomas Obiatuegwu, enjoined Christians to embrace the teachings of Jesus Christ who is the head of the Church.

While highlighting the significance of the Feast of Christ the King, emphasising Jesus Christ’s Kingship and His Spiritual reign over the world, the Bishop urged all faithful to love others the way Jesus Christ did while on earth.

The Mass was attended by the Deputy Governor of Imo State, Lady Dr Chinyere Ekomaru and her husband, Chukwuma, the Speaker of Imo State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Chike Olemgbe, Senator Patrick Ndubueze, House of Representatives Committee on TetFund led by the Chairman, Rt Hon Miriam Onuoha.
