__AS HE PAYS FIRST WORKING VISIT TO THE ONGOING CONSTRUCTION OF FLY-OVER AT CONTROL POST, EKEMEGBUOHA/UZOAGBA ROAD, TORONTO/ORJI ROAD AND SECOND INLAND ROAD._

“`CHARGES CONTRACTORS TO ENSURE SUSTAINABLE AND QUALITY CONSTRUCTION AS THE OFFER THEIR SERVICES TO IMO PEOPLE.“`

The Commissioner for Works and Infrastructural Development, Ralph Nwosu has paid a first working and inspection visit to Ekemegbuoha/Uzoagba road, Toronto/Orji road, Second Inland road and Control Post where construction of Fly-Over is ongoing, on his first day in office.

 

Ralph Nwosu while inspecting the Ekemegbuoha/Uzoagba road disclosed that Governor Hope Uzodimma is desirously committed to the infrastructural development of Imo State adding that the Control Post Fly-Over project signifies his good intentions for Imo People among other projects in the state.

The Commissioner on inspection of Ekemegbuoha/Uzoagba road from Toronto Junction down to Okantankwu River expressed satisfaction with the quality of job done and commended the contractor for the timely completion of the road project.

Speaking on Toronto/Orji road, the Commissioner stated that the road is at an appreciable milestone noting that the 8.5km road has received 7.2km asphalt laying and 1.3km stone base with the drainage works completed.

 

“Ralph Nwosu in his words stated that the second Inland road which was closed down for sometime now due to structural defect is currently undergoing reinforcement and engineering application and will be open for public use upon final completion”, As you can see, projects are all ongoing across the zones of the state and this explains the mandate of His Excellency, Governor Hope Uzodinma to Ministry of Works and Infrastructural Development and the Ministry is eager to deliver inline with government agenda.”

The Commissioner while X-raying the progress of job done at the visited sites, appreciated the commitment of the contractors and charged them to ensure sustainable and quality construction as the offer their services to Imo people stressing that Government will not tolerate any neglect or sharp practices as against the contractual specifications and agreement.

Police operatives in Bayelsa State have arrested one 24year old Godgift Bai, alleged to be circulating a viral private video of a young girl on social media platforms.

The State Police Spokesperson, ASP Musa Mohammed, in a statement today Friday 6th of September, said the suspect was arrested in Yenagoa on Sept. 3rd, 2024.

The arrest of Godgift Bai who hails from Ogbolomabiri in Nembe Local Government Area, follows a thorough investigation by the Cyber Crime Unit, acting on the directive of the Commissioner of Police, CP. Alonyenu Francis Idu.

Amaka Clears Air on Toronto Police Interaction, Denies Arrest Claims. Amaka has refuted recent media reports, claiming she was arrested and detained by Toronto police. According to Amaka, she was not charged with any crime. Instead, she was invited by the police following a report from the Nigerian government. During her interaction with Canadian authorities, Amaka presented video evidence demonstrating that her actions were in response to threats against the Igbo nation in Nigeria from some people of Benin and Yoruba descent. After reviewing the evidence, the police concluded that she had no further questions to answer and allowed her to leave.
