A 25-year-old Nigerian man has been arrested by the Libya’s Police Intervention and Control Force for his involvement in theft and banditry activities in the coastal city of Al-Khums.

In a statement released on Thursday by the Migrant Rescue Watch on its X handle, it was stated that the suspect had been transferred to the Souq Al-Khamis Police Department for legal action.
The statement read, “Police Intervention and Control Force in response to report arrested in Al-Khums a Nigerian #migrant (born in 1999) on charges of belonging to an organised gang responsible for theft and banditry.
“The accused was transferred to Souq Al-Khamis Police Department for legal action.”
“The investigation and search for other gang members is still ongoing,” the statement added.
