Renowned actor, Yul Edochie, has called upon Nigerians to exercise patience and restraint in the face of mounting calls for protests against the government.
Edochie, a vocal supporter of President Bola Tinubu during his presidential campaign, emphasized that the President is attentive to the people’s concerns and is working diligently to address the nation’s challenges.
On Friday, the actor took to his Instagram account to share his thoughts, stating, “I acknowledge the hardships. Protest is not the solution. Unfortunately, protests often provide an opportunity for individuals to engage in looting, vandalism, and violence, ultimately undermining the original purpose of the protest. We must remember the lessons from the End Sars movement.”
“Instead, let us adopt a more constructive approach. Let us continue to voice our concerns and work together to find solutions. President Tinubu is committed to listening and taking action to improve the situation. I urge my fellow Nigerians to remain patient and steadfast. YUL EDOCHIE,” he appealed.
However, Edochie’s words of caution were met with widespread criticism from his followers, who disagreed with his stance on the matter.
