Appeal Court Rules in Favor of Fubara, Declares Rivers LGA Tenure Extension Invalid.
Governor Fubara secured a victory as the Appeal Court in Port Harcourt dismissed a case challenging the extension of local government chairmen’s tenure in Rivers State.
The court ruled that the tenure of local government chairmen cannot be extended, striking out the case for lack of merit.
