President Bola Tinubu has removed the Managing Director of the Nigerian Security Printing and Minting Plc (NSPM), Ahmed Halilu, and four other executives.
This move comes after a report by investigator Jim Obazee exposed the company’s role in the controversial currency redesign policy that hurt individuals and businesses.
Halilu, brother of former First Lady Aisha Buhari, was appointed by ex-President Muhammadu Buhari in 2022. The new managing director, Abubakar Minjibir, has been tasked with overseeing the company’s operations.
This shakeup aims to restore credibility and trust in Nigeria’s security printing and minting processes. Stay tuned for more updates!
