Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has confirmed the appointment of Daniel Amokachi as the assistant coach of the Super Eagles
Here are some key highlights of his appointment:
Appointment: Daniel Amokachi has been appointed as the assistant coach of the Super Eagles, with Finidi George as the head coach.
Experience: Amokachi has previously handled the country’s U23s and CHAN Eagles and was an assistant coach when Nigeria last won the AFCON in 2013 in South Africa.
Local Assistant: Olatunji Baruwa will continue as the local assistant and goalkeeper trainer for the Eagles.
Foreign Assistants: Finidi George has also appointed two foreign assistants, whose names will be disclosed before the Super Eagles’ upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying fixtures.
