Breaking news in Nigerian politics – the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has suspended its National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, and National Legal Adviser, Kamaldeen Ajibade, SAN, due to alleged insubordination.

This development comes after the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) held its 593rd meeting on Thursday, October 10, 2024.

According to reports, the NWC has constituted an investigation committee, chaired by Deputy National Chairman (South) H.E. Amb. Taofeek Arapaja, to probe the allegations against Ologunagba and Ajibade.

In the meantime, their deputies, Ibrahim Abdullahi Manga and Barr. Okechukwu Osuoha, will assume acting roles as National Publicity Secretary and National Legal Adviser, respectively.

This move is seen as part of the ongoing internal struggles within the PDP, which have been evident since 2023.

The party’s leadership has been facing challenges, with Ologunagba and Ajibade emerging as key figures pushing for National Chairman Umar Damagum to adhere to the party’s constitution.
