A permanent injunction has been issued by the High Court in Kano state, barring the deposed Emir of Kano, Aminu Ado Bayero, along with the former Emirs of Bichi, Rano, Gaya, and Karaye, from asserting themselves as Emirs.
This order extends to their employees and representatives, explicitly prohibiting them from presenting themselves as Emirs.
The Kano State government has initiated legal proceedings to stop these former Emirs from using their royal titles and occupying their palaces.
Furthermore, the government has mandated a 48-hour deadline for the ex-Emirs to vacate their palaces following their removal.
