There is chaos in Rivers state at the moment following the order by the Rivers State governor, Sim Fubara to Local government chairman to vacate office following their tenure expiry on June 17.
The governor in a broadcast Tuesday morning ordered the Heads of Local Government Administration (HLGAS) to immediately take charge of the LGA Councils henceforth while thanking outgoing LGA Chairmen for their service.
But some LGA Chairmen loyal to former governor Nyesom Wike put up some resistance and tried entering the local government council headquarters with policemen.
Rivers youths also backed by security officers put up fierce resistance and have chased away the Pro-Wike former LGas Chairmen, while destroying their pictures and emblems.
In one video, former Mayor of Porthacourt City Allwell Ihunda and his security could be seen running after youths chased them out.
