Christina Sandera, the long-term partner of legendary actor Clint Eastwood, has sadly passed away at the age of 61. Eastwood, now 94, expressed his deep sorrow and admiration for Sandera in a statement, describing her as a “lovely, caring woman” whom he will deeply miss.
The couple had maintained a relatively private relationship over the past decade, occasionally appearing together at high-profile events such as the premieres of Eastwood’s films “The Mule” and “The 15:17 to Paris” in 2018. Their first public appearance together was at the 2015 Academy Awards, where Eastwood’s film “American Sniper” received six nominations.
Sandera and Eastwood met when she was working as a hostess at his Mission Ranch Hotel and Restaurant in Carmel-by-the-Sea, California. They began their relationship in 2014, shortly after Eastwood finalized his divorce from his second wife, Dina Eastwood.
Eastwood has been married twice before, first to model Maggie Johnson from 1953 to 1984, and then to news anchor Dina Ruiz from 1996 to 2004. He has eight children from previous relationships with six different women.
The news of Sandera’s passing comes shortly after Eastwood’s youngest daughter, Morgan, announced her marriage to Tanner Koopmans. Eastwood walked Morgan down the aisle during the ceremony, which took place at Mission Ranch.
