UFC President Dana White announced that Conor McGregor’s highly anticipated return to the UFC will have to wait until at least 2025.
The former two-division champion, celebrated for his electrifying performances, will not be returning to the Octagon for another four months, as confirmed by White on Tuesday.
McGregor, with a record of 22-6, has been out of action for over three years.
His expected bout against lightweight contender Michael Chandler at UFC 303 this past summer was canceled after McGregor suffered a broken toe weeks before the event.
McGregor had been determined to return before the end of 2024, with Chandler (23-8) hopeful for a showdown at UFC 310 in December.
However, recent videos of McGregor partying have cast doubt on a 2024 return.
The Irishman last fought in July 2021, when he sustained a broken leg in a bout against Dustin Poirier.
