Anthony Joshua’s career record

According to data courtesy of ESPN, Joshua is a former two-time unified WBO, IBF, and WBA heavyweight champion.

The 34-year-old first held these titles from March 2018 to July 2019. The British boxer later reclaimed the three belts with a unanimous decision victory over Andy Ruiz Jr. in December 2019.

Joshua’s second unified title run lasted until September 2021, when he was defeated by Oleksandr Usyk at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. He faced Usyk again in a rematch, which ended in another defeat.

Joshua would revive his title hopes with four victories on the trot including a devastating knockout against win against Francis Ngannou.

The 34-year-old won his first world title in April 2016 with a second-round knockout of Charles Martin.

Additionally, he was a gold medalist in the super heavyweight division at the 2012 Summer Olympics, representing Great Britain.

Adesanya predicts Joshua to win

TUKO. co.ke earlier reported that UFC fighter Israel Adesanya staked huge cash on the heavyweight title fight between British boxers Joshua and Dubois.

The Last Stylebender backed Joshua to win the fight between the 10th and 12th rounds.

He shared a photo of him and Joshua and a screenshot of his stake, with a caption invoking a Yoruba deity, Ògún, the god of iron.

5 Cristiano Ronaldo records that Erling Haaland is projected to obliterate

Cristiano Ronaldo is undoubtedly the greatest goalscorer of the modern generation, but Erling Haaland is already closing in on several of his records.

The Manchester City forward has been in relentless form this season and if he maintains his current scoring rate, he’ll break all sorts of records by the time he retires.

We’ve taken a look at some of Ronaldo’s records and worked out how long it will take Haaland to break them.

Ronaldo’s Premier League tally

As of writing, Haaland is only 31 goals away from matching Ronaldo’s tally of 103 Premier League goals. Unsurprisingly, Haaland has been scoring at a far greater rate in England than his Portuguese counterpart.

Of course, Ronaldo started his Premier League career as an out-and-out winger and because of this, he didn’t register a double-figure scoring campaign until his fourth season in England.

If Haaland continues to average a Premier League goal every 79.1 minutes, it will only take him 28 more matches to reach Ronaldo’s tally of 103 goals. If he manages to do that, he’ll have matched CR7’s entire Premier League goal catalogue in 138 fewer matches.

Ronaldo’s UCL record

When it comes to European nights, no one does it better than CR7. However, his record of 140 Champions League goals could be in jeopardy.

Haaland is currently scoring a UCL goal every 77.5 minutes. Comparatively, Ronaldo averaged a goal every 113.89 in the competition.

Of course, the Man City forward still has a long way to go before he closes in on Ronaldo’s tally, but those statistics do make for an interesting read.

If the Norwegian forward continues to score at his current rate in the UCL, it will take him 86 more games to match Ronaldo’s tally in Europe.

Most goals in a single UCL campaign

Given the new Champions League format will involve extra matches being played, Haaland stands an even greater chance of breaking Ronaldo’s record of the most goals scored in a single UCL campaign.

CR7 managed to bag 17 goals in the 2013-14 Champions League, but Haaland now stands a great chance of breaking that record.

Successful clubs in the Champions League will now play a maximum of 17 matches, which is up from the maximum of 13 matches in the previous layout of the tournament.

Up until this point, Haaland’s most prolific European campaign came back in 2022-23 as he scored 12 goals. However, with more games now being introduced, he now stands a great chance of breaking Ronaldo’s long-standing record.

Faster to 300 career goals

As of writing, Haaland is only 14 goals away from scoring his 300th career goal. At the rate he’s been scoring in 2024-25, he’s expected to hit the 300-goal landmark in his next 10 matches. If he manages to achieve that, he will have reached 300 career goals in just 349 matches for club and country.

For context, it took Ronaldo 554 matches until he reached 300 career goals.

Record number of hat-tricks

It will take some effort to break Ronaldo’s hat-trick record, but if anyone is capable of doing it, Haaland is surely the man.

As of writing, Ronaldo has scored 66 career hat-tricks in 1,238 appearances whereas Haaland has scored 24 hat-tricks in 339 appearances.

That means on average, Ronaldo scores a hat-trick every 18.7 games, while Haaland scores a hat-trick every 14.1 matches. It therefore stands to reason that if Haaland prolongs his career for as long as Ronaldo, he stands a great chance of surpassing his hat-trick record.

Where are they now? Man Utd’s 8 wonderkids from FIFA 15 a decade later

FIFA 15 was released over a decade ago and we thought it would be a timely point to check out where the eight Manchester United wonderkids from that game are today.

The Red Devils have a rich history when it comes to developing young players, although not all of these wonderkids have managed to make a name for themselves at Old Trafford.

Using SoFIFA, we have found United’s eight wonderkids from FIFA 15 and have checked out what they are each up to these days.

Luke Shaw

After shining at Southampton, Shaw made a £30million move to Manchester United in the summer of 2014 and was given a rating of 75 in FIFA 15 – alongside potential of 86.

Despite several injuries, it’s hard to argue that the left-back hasn’t fulfilled his potential. An excellent operator, Shaw remains at Old Trafford to this day and has also won 34 caps for England.

Even in 2024, United are a much better side when Shaw is bombing down the left flank. This was one rating that FIFA got spot on.

Adnan Januzaj

Fresh off his breakthrough season in 2013-14, Januzaj was all the hype upon the release of FIFA 15. He had a lofty potential of 87 on the game, which was a higher rating than Wayne Rooney had on the game.

It’s safe to say that things didn’t quite progress in that way for the Belgian winger. After some early glimpses of potential, he ended up dropping down the pecking order under Louis van Gaal and then Jose Mourinho.

Despite things not quite working out in England, he has crafted a good career for himself elsewhere. He enjoyed his best days with Real Sociedad and now plays for Las Palmas, on loan from Sevilla.

James Wilson

United fans had high hopes for Wilson back in the day, particularly after he scored a brace on his senior debut against Hull City.

Despite some early signs of promise, Wilson eventually slipped down the pecking order and ended up leaving the club in 2019 following a series of loan spells.

These days you can find him playing for League One outfit Northampton Town where he has yet to score in 2024-25.

Paddy McNair

At one stage Louis van Gaal suggested McNair could be United’s right-back for the “next 10 years”, but he later criticised the Northern Irishman as “he thought he was a striker” when he gave the ball away high up the pitch in a draw with Leicester.

McNair has since insisted he was played out of position, and his form in midfield for Sunderland in their Championship relegation season led to a move to Middlesbrough in 2018.

The Northern Ireland international was named Middlesbrough Player of the Year for the 2020-21 season and helped knock United out of the FA Cup in 2022.

He made a surprise move to MLS side San Diego in the summer of 2024 and is currently on loan at West Brom until the end of the calendar year.
