Deborah Quickpen , the Bayelsa born chess prodigy, is scheduled to face off against the Chess Master and Guinness World Record holder, Tunde Onakoya, on Tuesday, 11th June, 2024, in Lagos.

Deborah, a standout in the African and global chess scene, has been turning heads with her remarkable skills and accomplishments at a young age.

She currently holds the top spot in Nigeria and ranks fourth in Africa across all female age categories. Notably, Deborah is the reigning Nigeria National Women’s Chess Champion, making history as the youngest individual to ever claim the title in Nigerian chess.
