The Delta State APC Youths are urgently calling on the leadership of the party to suspend Hon. Francis Waive, the member representing Ughelli North, Ughelli South, and Udu in the House of Representatives, due to his glaring betrayal of the party’s trust. After the APC worked tirelessly to send him to the National Assembly, Hon. Waive has repaid this sacrifice by engaging in anti-party activities, aligning himself with the opposition PDP in Delta State.
Hon. Waive’s actions demonstrate a complete disregard for the APC’s constitution and values. His public associations with the PDP, including social and political engagements with members of the opposition, reflect his disloyalty to the APC. This has led to growing concerns that he is no longer committed to the party’s success and may be acting as a mole within the party, undermining the very foundation that helped him secure his seat in the House of Representatives twice.
The APC youths are condemning these actions as acts of impunity and treachery. They argue that Hon. Waive’s continuous relationship with the PDP weakens the APC’s efforts to maintain unity and strength in Delta State. After benefiting from the APC’s backing, Hon. Waive’s turn to anti-party activities is not only disobedient but also a betrayal of the trust placed in him by the party and its members.
Given the seriousness of the situation, the Delta APC must take immediate action by suspending Hon. Waive. This would send a strong message that the party will not tolerate disloyalty or actions that undermine its mission, especially after investing resources and trust in its members.
