Ezekiel ThankGod, a gospel singer and record label owner, has been charged to court for allegedly diverting $264,000 belonging to gospel singer JudyKay, real name Judith Kanayo.
Ezekiel, who is better known as Eezee Tee, is the owner of EeZee Concept, a gospel record label.
A report by an independent audit firm, Person Consulting, concluded that a total of $264,000 generated from various platforms, including YouTube, were not remited to singer JudiKay by EeZee Concept.
The report was forwarded to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and EeZee Tee was charged to court on three counts.
Charge one accuses EeZee Tee Global Concepts Limited of retaining $264,494 said to be the property of Judith Kanayo (JudiKay) and Mercy Chinwo, an offence contrary to Section 18(2)(d) and puishable under section 18 (3) of the of Money Laundering (Prevention and Prohibition) Act, 2022.
The case is currently before the Federal High Court of Nigeria.
