Engr. Obidike Nelkon Uzu is a native of Ndiolumbe in Isiala Ngwa South Autonomous Community. Engr. Obi is the Managing Director of Global Process & Pipeline Services Limited which is an indigenous frontline oil services company with the largest in-country pumping, process and pipeline services equipment fleet, capacity and competency on land, swamp and offshore terrains.

He became Managing Director of GPPSL following his retirement from BJ Services after 13 years of outstanding service. He holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Port-Harcourt, Rivers state, Nigeria. He is also an alumnus of Harvard Business School, Boston, USA and Cambridge Judge Business School (ALP), University of Cambridge in addition to attending several professional training courses in Nigeria, London, Houston and Aberdeen.

GPPSL, through the provision of seamless services powered by sustainable innovations has grown exponentially, was adjudged the Best Oil Service Company in Nigeria between 2018 and 2020 by the Nigeria International Petroleum Summit (N.I.P.S) and second best Local Company for the year 2019 by the Nigerian Content Development & Monitoring Board (NCDMB). GPPSL, was adjudged the best energy services company in Africa by prestigious FORBES.

Engr. Obi Uzu as he is commonly called, has distinguished himself as a visionary and dynamic leader with robust track record of success across the business value chains of operations, sales and marketing, with experience in start-up organisations for over three decades. Obi has been a great philanthropist, community builder and father to many. For the past 13 years, he has been giving bursary to all the undergraduates in his community (Ndiolumbe Autonomous Community)

In celebrating his 60th birthday, Engr. Obi will be launching his book titled “FROM ABA TO FORBES, A JOURNEY OF GRIT AND GLORY”.
