Former Governor of Rivers state, Nyesom Wike allegedly lost his polling unit to APP in the ongoing Local Government election

The former Governor of Rivers State and current
Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT),
Nyesom Wike has suffered another political defeat.

This is as information www.ekwutosblog.com indicate that there was a massive turnout of voters at polling unit near his house in Rivers State where
he typically casts his votes.

Preliminary information suggests the candidate of
the APP won at the Wike polling unit with a
considerable marjin.

Meanwhile, casting of votes remain ongoing at some locations where the elections arrived late and at areas where the turnout remain massive.
Some protests were recorded today as the voting
began.

The protests consisted of members of the
People’s Democratic Party (PDP) loyal to Nyesom
Wike who were seeking cancellation of election
exercise.

They were limited in number. Counter
protests were recorded comprising of supporters
of the State government seeking for the electoral
exercise to continue. They comprised of many
market women.
