A Kano State High Court has postponed the hearing of preliminary objections in the high-profile bribery and misappropriation case involving Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), and seven others until February 13, 2025.

Ganduje, his wife Hafsat Umar, and six other defendants, including Abubakar Bawuro, Umar Abdullahi Umar, and three companies, face an eight-count charge of bribery, misappropriation, and diversion of public funds allegedly amounting to billions of naira.

During Wednesday’s hearing, the defendants’ legal representatives presented multiple motions and applications, prompting the court to consolidate and adjourn for a unified hearing.

The court struck out Ganduje’s application and overruled objections raised by the applicants.

Justice Amina Adamu-Aliyu set the new hearing date, paving the way for a critical hearing early next year.

This development is the latest in the ongoing case, which has been adjourned previously.
