A source at the Force Criminal Investigation Department Annex, Alagbon, Lagos State, says controversial crossdresser, Idris Okuneye aka Bobrisky, spent the night in a female cell in the police facility.
LIB had reported that Bobrisky who was arrested by Immigration officers at the Seme border while trying to flee to Benin republic, was transferred from their office to the FCID on Monday, October 21 where he spent the night.
Speaking on how he was received in the FCID, a source in the police facility who spoke to Punch, said;
“Bobrisky was brought to the FCID, Alagbon, around 10 p.m. on Monday. Immigration arrested him at the Seme Border and brought him for safekeeping. He is in detention at the FCID, Alagbon. He was arrested on Sunday, detained overnight, and taken to the FCID, Alagbon.
We have a lot of cells in Alagbon; and when you are having a case like that, you have to look for the right place to guarantee the safety and security of the person being detained.
Everybody is conscious of the fact that Bobrisky could be gay and nobody wants to be part of a scandal. If you put him among males, anything can happen and you cannot put him among females. So, they gave him a cell alone and the cell is around the female section and they didn’t have any female inmate around that cell.”
Recall that Prison officials had told the House of Representatives Investigation panel in September that Bobrisky was kept in a special cell during his time in jail for Naira abuse charges, because of his special features. According to a prison official, Bobrisky has some female features like boobs.
