His excellency Amaopusenibo Sir Siminalayi Fubara, GSSRS and Rt Hon Comr Victor Oko Jumbo have approved the appointment and screening of LGA caretaker committees
Recall that according to the constitution of federal republic of Nigeria and Rivers State, the tenure of the current LGA chairmen will be expiring by 17th June, 2024; after which they are no longer LGA chairmen
In accordance with the law and the due-process legacies of this administration under Governor Fubara, the Rivers State government backed by the speaker Rt Hon Comr Victor Oko Jumbo and his assembly colleagues has approved the appointment and screening of LGA caretaker committees to run the 23 local government areas in Rivers State.
