Nigerian Catholic priest, Rev Fr Chinenye Oluoma, has tagged those who say ‘Holy Ghost fire’ prayers against their enemies as antichrist.

Oluoma said that such persons do not have the spirit of Christ but rather the spirit of the antichrist.

The cleric stated this in a video posted on his verified Facebook page on Thursday.

According to him, there was never a time ‘holy ghost fire’ was used for deliverance, noting that what is used for deliverance is ‘in the name of Jesus Christ’.

He added, “Those who are anointed get transformed. And what matters under your anointing is the Spirit of God that possesses you.

“So let me tell you now, anybody who prays ‘Holy Ghost fire’ against his or her enemies, that person does not have the Spirit of God, or that person has expelled the Spirit of God for himself or herself.

“If you pray ‘Holy Ghost fire’ against your enemies, you do not have the Spirit of Christ. What you have is the spirit of the antichrist. In fact, you are one of the antichrists.

“If you pray: “Every enemy who said, I will not make it this year, I say holy ghost fire,” you are an antichrist.

“People don’t like this message. “Holy Ghost fire” prayers against your enemies, whether they are in the village or they are in town, whether they are your uncles – your uncle that denied you something, or that stole your mother’s land or whatever – if you are among those who invoke holy ghost fire to destroy your enemies. You don’t have the spirit of Christ. What you have is antichrist spirit. Many Christians are antichrists and they don’t know.”

“So I’m now I’m giving you one of the characteristics of the antichrist – those who say ‘Holy Ghost fire’ prayers.

“Even in deliverance – those who do deliverance – there was never a time holy ghost fire was used for deliverance. What is used for deliverance is ‘in the name of Jesus Christ’.

“How we came to make holy ghost fire part of prayer is still a case study. The Bible said, whatever you ask the Father in my name, then your generation of Christians now have made holy ghost fire a prayer condiment.

“Not even in deliverance, when you are facing real person who is possessed, it is in the name of Jesus Christ that evil spirits are cast out. It’s not with holy ghost fire, but in your clime you people use holy ghost fire more for your enemies.
If you are in a place where they’re saying that kind of prayer begin to enlighten them.”

Amid the economic hardship in Nigeria, the Senior Pastor of The Second Coming of Christ Ministry, Adewale Giwa, on Sunday, disclosed why dumped his high paying job in the United States, US, and returned to the country.

Pastor Giwa disclosed that his zeal to serve God made him dump his job in the US, which he said was paying him an equivalent of five million naira monthly.

Addressing his members in Akure, Ondo State, the clergyman said he opted to return to Nigeria to serve God despite intervention from his “white” boss after his resignation.

Cautioning that life is not all about wealth acquisition, the clergyman stressed the need for people to serve God.

Pastor Giwa said: “If you think the purpose of coming to this world is to acquire wealth, you have made a grievous mistake.

“The scripture tells us to serve God with all our hearts, our father Abraham gave everything he had to God and God blessed him in return.

“Are you ready to sacrifice your career for God? Are you ready to sacrifice your children for God?

“They thought was crazy when I told them at my job that I was resigning, the white people came to me and asked, are you sure you know what you are talking about? I said yes.

“They asked what happened to you? I responded nothing and what I want to do was to give my life to God, to be in his presence for 24 hours.

“If you compare how much I earned weekly, it’s more than five million naira. I ignored this things because I wanted to serve God and be in his presence.

“Where do you want to be when the trumpet sounds? Are you going to be complaining that because of my job.”

Rivers State Governor, His Excellency, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, on Sunday, atteded a special prayer, worship and thanksgiving service at Salvation Ministries Headquarters, GRA, Port Harcourt.

The Governor was accompanied by top politicians, major stakeholders, elders and leaders of the State, and associates to express gratitude to God for His love, mercy and unwavering support amid the festering political challenges.

Among those who accompanied the Governor are Chief of Staff, Dr Edison Ehie; former Senate President Pro-Tempore and President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, Senator John Azuta Mbata; former Deputy National Chairman of the PDP, Dr Sam Sam Jaja; Chief Orits Onyiri; Chief Mike Elechi; and Chief David Briggs.

The church service, a testament to his deep faith and belief in God as the ultimate dispenser of justice, was an extraordinary session of worship, prayers, and thanksgiving, to appreciate the Lord and acknowledge His never-failing gifts to humanity.

The service, led by the Presiding Pastor of the church, David Ibiyeomie, who took his sermon on: “Living A Blessed Life” from Genesis 1:28, featured soul-lifting songs, scriptural exhortations, and prayers for continued peace, progress, and prosperity in Rivers State.

A special prayer session was also held for the Governor shortly after the service.
