Idanre Kingdom Mourns The Loss Of Beloved Monarch Oba Frederick Aroloye After 48-Year Reign

The Idanre Kingdom is in mourning following the passing of its revered monarch, Oba Frederick Adegunle Aroloye, Arubiefin IV, who joined his ancestors on Wednesday morning at the age of 102.

Oba Aroloye had reigned for 48 years, ascending the throne in 1976.

High Chief Christopher Oluwole Akindolire, the Lisa of Idanre land, confirmed the monarch’s death and announced that preparations for traditional rites are underway at the palace.

Minister of State for Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande, paid tribute to the late monarch, describing his passing as a significant loss to the community, particularly to young people who sought his guidance and wisdom.

He praised Oba Aroloye’s peaceful and unifying leadership, which had brought progress to Idanre during his nearly five decades on the throne.

Olawande extended his condolences to the monarch’s family and the people of Idanre, urging them to take solace in the knowledge that Oba Aroloye lived a life of service to humanity.

He prayed for the late monarch’s eternal peace.
