Ekwutosblog has gathered that Evang. Myke Ikoku, popular hotelier, business mogul, and chairman of All Seasons Group, has unequivocally distanced himself from any attempts to associate him with prospective aspirants eyeing the Imo State Governorship in 2027.
Speaking with journalists over the weekend in Abuja, Ikoku emphasized that it is premature to discuss 2027 ambitions, especially with the recent re-election of a governor who deserves the full support of all well-meaning Imolites to ensure the state’s progress. “Imo belongs to all of us,” he stated, urging everyone to prioritize the state’s current needs over personal political ambitions.
He condemned what he described as desperation and insensitivity from individuals who have contributed little to Imo State’s development yet are already positioning themselves for future leadership. Ikoku stressed that the state requires collective effort to address its socioeconomic challenges, not political distractions.
Reiterating his commitment to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ikoku urged party members to disregard any attempts to link him with unsubstantiated political ventures. He assured them that when the time for political decisions comes, he will continue playing his altruistic role in advocating for a well-thought-out leadership recruitment process, which he believes has long eluded the state.
The media and entertainment mogul also called on journalists to remain committed to nation-building by disseminating information responsibly and objectively, emphasizing the importance of their role in shaping a better society.
