Augustine Eguavoen, the Technical Director of the Nigeria Football Federation, has denied reports that he has stepped down as the interim coach of the Super Eagles.
Eguavoen was appointed to lead the team for two games against Benin Republic and Rwanda in the 2025 AFCON qualifiers.
After the goalless draw against Rwanda, rumors spread that he had stepped down, but Eguavoen has clarified that he only mentioned discussing the next steps with the NFF hierarchy.
He emphasized that he is still in charge and will continue to lead the team
