The APC just concluded primaries for LGA local government Chairmanship Elections faces wide spread condemnations across the 27 Local government council in the state.
This is coming after the Party leadership sensing danger of protest across the local government in Imo state came up with a press release to disown the list trending on social media where all the serving SOLADS where returned even without resignations as stipulated by the electoral laws.

The governor has earlier promised that the exercise will respect zoning and all inclusive politics so as to spread political powers across various zones of the he LGAs in Imo state.
And in furtherance to his promises party faithfuls welcomed consensus primaries which remains the best option to produce candidates especially from areas that have been magilnalised so as to spread political powers in the LGAs.

The publications of the candidates who emerged in the consensus shows that the SOLADS where returned across the state even without resignations from office and this has generated wide spread condemnations from various stake holders as some Local government areas are already under attack, and this may drown the Party into political sunami as members issue threats of huge exodus from the Party while aligning with other progressive parties of their choice.

We call on the state governor to review the list and keep to his promises of zoning and equity as this will bring peace across the LGAs in Imo state.

With the situation temporarily calmed down by the purported reviewing of the list for fairness and equity Party faithfuls are at alert to see the results which will either redeem the party image or put it to further collapse as we await the APC leaders to do the right thing by presenting the most dedicated and popular candidates across the LGAs as consensus as the return of the SOLADS will surely drown APC in the state and affects the governors credibility in the state having made promises to Imollites on equity and fairness while respecting zoning.
