All Progressives Congress (APC) aspirants in Imo State are expressing frustration and confusion over the party’s primary elections for the September 21 council polls.

The primary elections, initially scheduled for August 22, were rescheduled for August 24 without clear procedures or guidelines.

Over 900 councilor aspirants and 300 chairmanship aspirants are affected by this uncertainty as confusion trails on the schedule Party Primary elections

The APC constitution allows for both indirect and direct delegate primary elections, but the aspirants are unsure which method will be used.

Aspirants, speaking anonymously to avoid victimization, accused the state party executive members of being moles working for Governor Senator Hope Uzodimma.

They alleged that the executives are more interested in exploiting the aspirants than in serving the people’s interests.
