IMO stakeholders call on Governor Hope Uzodimma CON to disregard the orchestrated plot of defeated opposition elements to distract his government.
Governor Hope Uzodimma has started his second tenure hitting the ground running with monumental projects such as rehabilitation of the SAM MBAKWE AIRPORT for night landing, the BOLA AHMED TINUBU DRIVE AIRPORT ROAD, BEGINNING OF CONSTRUCTION OF THE FLYOVER AT CONTROL OWERRI and the recent 1.5 BILLION DOLLARS from AFREXIM BANK and attracting foreign investors for development in Imo.
Imo stakeholders maintain that the governor’s appointment of Chief Ferdinand Uzodimma a well known democrat and accomplished business man is well positioned and is not new to our political polity in Imo which is within the law. The Governor has not broken any law of the land as it is within his perogative to appoint whatsoever he wants as his personal aide to steer the affairs of the state.
It is instructive to note that all democratic elected governors of Imo and world leaders alike has done same from former Gov. Achike udenwa , Gov ikedi Ohakim and Gov Rochas Okorocha, President Donald Trump, President John kennedy all appointed siblings as personal aides during their terms.
However the appointment of Chief Ferdinand Uzodimma as Deputy-Chief of Staff (General services ) is the personal kitchen cabinet of his Excellency and not a public office, and is within the discretion of the state governor to make .
We therefore urge our Godsent governor to remain focused on his amazing leadership of our state and deliver sustainable dividends for ndi Imo.
