The Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, has ordered a thorough investigation into the death of a suspect accused of kidnapping and murdering two women, Celine Ndudim and Afiba Tandoh, in Aba, Abia State.
The suspect, Andrew Ochekwo, was killed while being transported by the police.
The IGP has directed the Police Monitoring Unit to conduct a high-powered investigation into the matter, which has generated public interest and concern.
