The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has suspended an officer, Assistant Superintendent of Immigration II (ASI 2) Okpravero C. Ufuoma, indefinitely for soliciting financial gratification from a traveler at Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos.

The  officer was caught on camera begging a traveler for money, which led to his suspension.

The NIS has condemned the officer’s behavior, stating it does not reflect the organization’s values and ethics of professionalism.
