North Korea would send as many as 12,000 North Korean soldiers to Ukraine. The North Korean military will serve Russia. That is what South Korean intelligence officials tell the national news agency Yonhap.

Four brigades totaling 12,000 soldiers would be involved, including special units. In fact, a first contingent of 1,500 special units is reportedly already present in Vladivostok, in Russia’s Far East, for training. “From Oct. 8 to 13, North Korea transported its special forces to Russia in a Russian Navy transport ship,” said South Korean intelligence, which also published detailed satellite images.

According to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Vladimir Putin is trying to expand his force with foreign soldiers because of “huge losses” on the battlefield and problems with mobilization at home.
