Lagos : Eze Ndigbo remains in detention over 1 year after arrest for ‘threatening’ to invite IPOB

Frederick Nwajiagu, the Eze Ndigbo of Ajao Estate in Lagos, has spent over a year and five months in detention without conviction following his arrest and arraignment on charges related to terrorism.

Nwajiagu, who was taken into custody on April 1, 2023, after a controversial video surfaced in which he allegedly threatened to invite members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) to Lagos, has yet to see the conclusion of his trial.
