During the Lagos State House of Assembly plenary session on Monday, presided over by Speaker Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa, the Local Government Administration Bill, 2024, successfully scaled second reading.
The bill, titled “A Bill for a Law to provide for Local Governments’ System, Establishment, and Administration and to Consolidate all Laws of Local Government Administration and for Connected Purposes,” received significant contributions from Hon. Prince Nureni Akinsanya, representing Mushin Constituency 1, and from other lawmakers.
The House adjourned the plenary session until Thursday, August 29, 2024.
