Residents of Minna, Niger State, have called for an investigation into the International Centre for Sexual and Reproductive Rights (INCRESE) over allegations of promoting LGBTQ rights, which they claim violate the same-sex marriage prohibition Act of 2024.
Activist Mohammed Yahaya Usman sparked the call by sharing documents and raising questions about the NGO’s activities and funding.
Following his social media post, Usman was detained but later released, inciting public outrage and demands for a thorough probe into INCRESE’s operations.
