Nigerian world champion Tobi Amusan dominated her heat to qualify for the 100-meter hurdles semi-finals at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Amusan recorded a time of 12.49 seconds, followed closely by American Alaysha Johnson with 12.61 seconds, and Jamaica’s Janeek Brown secured the third spot with 12.84 seconds.
Amusan’s impressive performance sets her up for a thrilling semi-final showdown.
In other heats, Puerto Rico’s Jasmine Camacho-Quinn posted the fastest time of 12.42 seconds, while American Masai Russell and French hope Cyrena Samba-Mayela also advanced to the semis.
Amusan, who arrived at the Olympics in peak condition after a recent doping clearance, will look to build on her momentum and challenge for the top spot.
