The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), led by President Joe Ajaero, has demanded and immediate Reversal of the recent petrol price Hike by the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL). The NNPCL has reportedly raised the pump price from N568 to as high as N897 per litre, worsening the plight of Nigerians amid ongoing fuel Scarcity.
Ajaero has accused the Federal Government of betraying the Labour movement and criticized it’s policies, which he described as traumatic and insincere. He also called for the release of individuals arrested during the protests, a halt to indiscriminate detentions, a reversal of the 250% electricity tariff hike, and an end to oppressive government policies.
