Ogun State: Awujale Honored With GCON Title By President Tinubu For Remarkable Contributions To National Development
President Bola Tinubu bestowed upon the revered Awujale and paramount ruler of Ijebuland, Oba Sikiru Adetona, the prestigious title of Grand Commander of the Order of Nigeria (GCON).
The ceremony took place during the grand celebration of Oba Sikiru Adetona’s 90th birthday at the Oba Sikiru Adetona School of Governance, hosted by Olabisi Onabanjo University in Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State.
Represented by Vice President Kashim Shettima, President Tinubu highlighted the unparalleled dedication and invaluable impact of the Awujale on the nation’s progress.
Additionally, he announced the directive for the National Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies, Kuru, Jos, to oversee the management of the Oba Sikiru Adetona School of Governance, a legacy bestowed upon the university by the esteemed royal father.
