Ondo court remands randy Pastor for impregnating a minor, four other girls

A 31-year-old randy Pastor of the Cherubim and Seraphim Church in Ondo State, Oluwasegun Victor, has been remanded to Correctional Centre for impregnating a minor and four other young girls.

Oluwasegun who was charged before an Akure Chief Magistrate court said to have had unlawful sexual intercourse with the minor on July 24th, 2024 at Oba-Ile area.

He was arraigned by the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) on a one-count charge of unlawful sexual intercourse.

The prosecutor, David Ebriku, said the offence contravened Section 31(1) of the Child Rights’ Laws of Ondo State 2007 and was punishable under Section 31(2) of the same Laws.

Ebriku urged the court to remand the suspect to a Correctional Centre.

The charge read “That you, Olusegun Victor, male, 31 years old, at about 1 pm on the 24th day of July 2024 at No 73 Owode, off airport road, Oba-Ile, Akure within Akure Magisterial district did commit a felony, to wit, unlawful sexual intercourse on a minor, Miss Precious Olisemeke, 15 years, thereby committed an offence contrary to section 31(1) of the Child Rights’ Laws of Ondo State 2007 and punishable under section 31(2) of the same laws.”

However, the plea of the suspect was not taken as the court had no jurisdiction to entertain the case.
The prosecutor urged the court to remand the suspect to a Correctional Centre.

In his reaction, the counsel to the suspected serial rapist, Mr Alex Odunayo Olademehin, asked the court for time to respond to the remand application.

The Presiding trial Magistrate, Taiwo Lebi, thereafter ordered the remand of the suspect to a Correctional Centre.

Lebi, thereafter adjourned the hearing to September 19, 2024, for a hearing of the bail application.
